The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an open world RPG in the vein of Skyrim, with its own distinct style of magic, monsters, and locations. This game is filled to the brim with weapons, armor, and other collectibles that players can find throughout the game’s world in order to build their own unique character.
We don’t know if this has been reported anywhere but CD Projekt Red, the developer of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, recently released a blog post that has been subjected to various interpretations. In it, the devs explain that the game’s censorship system would move a character’s hands in order to indicate that she’s holding something, while changing her eyes to indicate that she’s looking at it. For example, she could be holding a toy bear, or she could be looking at a weapon.
CD Projekt RED, the studio behind the highly anticipated The Witcher 3, recently released a free mod for The Witcher 3 that adds a system of gender-neutral characters to the game. It’s a nice gesture and an interesting move from the studio, but there is a lot of controversy over the use of gender-neutral characters in games. While CD Projekt RED has received criticism for using a gender-neutral character to refer to an item that has been censored, the studio has pointed out that they have also censored the same character in the past in the English version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
