We know that Donald Trump’s presidency has been a nightmare for the country, but we’ve never had such an unwelcome distraction in the White House before. Normally, we don’t focus on the small details of the administration or other countries, but every day, it seems more and more like Donald Trump is on the verge of a nervous breakdown. From his comb-over (it’s fake, people!), to his suspicious Twitter habits, to his bizarre racial remarks about Mexicans and Muslims, it seems like he’s hiding something that will eventually result in some major fall from grace.
Every year I take an annual trip out of town with friends for a long weekend. It’s a great time to catch up with old friends and make new ones. But after meeting a lot of new people and spending time with old friends, I’m always surprised to find that those I knew well before are gone who I don’t see anymore, who are now new friends, and sometimes those I met but didn’t know much about are suddenly important.
In the pursuit of happiness, we are taught by society that happiness can only be achieved through external things. For example, we are all taught that happiness can only be achieved through a relationship, money, a house, a car, a fancy job, or a family. Yet as the saying goes, “happiness is not something you find, it’s something you create.”
After a great NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos, Peyton Manning will soon be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Despite the fact that Manning enjoyed the most of his success as the Colts’ quarterback, his breakup with the club wasn’t always pleasant.
In fact, not long before his departure from Indianapolis in 2012, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the team’s atmosphere.
After 14 seasons together, Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts parted ways.

But it was Andrew Luck (228 yards, 3 throw TDs, 1 run TD) who spoiled Peyton’s homecoming to Indy with the victory. #IndianapolisColts (Oct. 20, 2013) Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on CBS, #DENvsIND pic.twitter.com/AOW3u14TVf

During Manning’s 14-year stint as the Colts’ quarterback, the club had a lot of success. There, he earned four of his five career MVPs. He also appeared in two Super Bowls, winning one, as Indy was consistently one of the top teams in the NFL, and he was probably the finest quarterback in the league.
However, due to a neck injury in 2011, the former Tennessee star missed the whole season, and the Colts finished 2-14, forcing owner Jim Irsay to make a tough choice. He had to decide whether to take a chance on Manning’s health or choose Andrew Luck, the greatest quarterback prospect since John Elway, with the first overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft.
Indy selected the latter, which resulted in a slew of additional modifications. Manning was released by the team and went on to play for the Denver Broncos. It also parted ways with general manager Bill Polian, who selected Manning, coach Jim Caldwell, who led them to a Super Bowl trip, and a slew of other players who helped the Colts win a lot of games.
However, before leaving Indy for Denver, Manning wasn’t pleased with the atmosphere around the only NFL club he knew.
Things weren’t the same as they had been.
The Colts, according to Peyton Manning, do not have a “very nice atmosphere.”

Bob Kravitz was a reporter with the Indianapolis Star for 11 years and covered Manning extensively. In an article for The Athletic, Kravitz reflected on the tumultuous relationship between the Colts and Manning, who will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame next month.
Manning made some harsh remarks about his team during a discussion with Kravitz before the New York Giants-New England Patriots Super Bowl at the conclusion of the 2011 season.
According to The Athletic, he remarked of the team facilities, “I’m not in a very good position for healing.” “To put it mildly, the situation down there right now isn’t ideal. Everyone is teetering on the edge of their seats. Right now, I don’t recognize our structure. There has been such a full and utter transformation.”
Manning also expressed his disappointment with the Colts’ decision to split ways with so many players and coaches.
According to The Athletic, he added, “It’s sad because so many of them have been such a huge part of so many great victories here, and this is so abrupt.” “The next day, their keys didn’t work. Isn’t there any other option? I’m not sure. All these people leaving is difficult to see.”
Despite the changes, Manning maintained his desire to play his whole career in Indianapolis.
According to The Athletic, Manning said, “I don’t want to get into some sort of fan campaign with the owner, but I believe it’s well-documented that I want to play in the same location my whole career.” “It’s been an honor to perform here. I like the people, the city, the fans’ metamorphosis, how our stadium has evolved into the hardest to play in, and the fact that our supporters wear more shirts to games than anybody else.”
Manning did not receive what he desired, as previously stated. After 14 wonderful seasons together, he and Indy said their goodbyes.
But it all worked out in the end.
The great quarterback has moved on from his bitter divorce with the Indianapolis Colts.
“To be bitter & frustrated, it’s like it ruins everything you worked for those 14 years..
I understood the decision Jim Irsay had to make & no hard feelings & for him to send his plane to fly me & my son down here was a great gesture”

Everything worked out for Manning in the end; he went on to win two more Super Bowls with the Broncos, but watching Irsay make so many changes and eventually dismiss him must have been a bitter pill to take.
The two Indiana legends, on the other hand, seem to be far beyond that today.
After learning that Manning will be inducted into the Hall of Fame, Irsay offered his aircraft to Manning and his kid for Super Bowl 55. Manning also addressed Irsay’s choice to go with Luck instead of him around the same time.
On the Feb. 7 edition of The Pat McAfee Show, Manning stated, “I had a great 14 years there; it’s clearly the team that I always wanted to play for.” “Unfortunate events occur; I was wounded. The Indianapolis Colts earn the first [overall] selection. It’s as if being angry and dissatisfied destroyed all you fought for in those 14 years. So, Jim Irsay selected me, and he’s always been there for me, so I understand the choice he had to make, and there are no hard feelings.”
Manning and the Colts may have had a tumultuous relationship. Fans, on the other hand, remember their romance for all of their wonderful years together, during which Manning became an NFL icon and the Colts were a football juggernaut.
When he joins the Hall of Fame next month, those great seasons in Indianapolis will undoubtedly be at the forefront of everyone’s thoughts.
