The entire installation process consists of two parts:
- Part 1: Allow installation from unknown sources
- Part 2: Install the 13Clowns video addon for Kodi
The following detailed instructions cover both parts. Let’s get started.
Part 1: Allow unknown sources
This is a requirement to allow the installation of third party add-ons. These are addons that are not part of the official Kodi repository.
For security reasons, such addons are not allowed. However, if you install a safe addon like 13Clowns Video on Kodi, you won’t have to worry about this setting. Here’s how to change that:
1) After launching Kodi, stay on the home screen and click on the Settings option in the top left corner (that’s the cog icon you should be looking for).
2) Now open the system settings

2) In the next window, open the file manager (it is located in the top left corner in Kodi Leia 18).
3) Navigate and click on the Add Source button as shown in the figure below.
4) In the window that appears, select <No>.
5) Enter the following URL using the on-screen keyboard you see now: [Deleted because not working now]
Before clicking OK, check the URL to make sure it is correct.
6) You will return to the window where you previously clicked <No>. Navigate to the field with the name Enter a name for this media source
Now enter the name by which you want to identify this resource. I call it 13clowns, for example.
Check everything and click OK
7) You have added a source. Now go back to the Kodi home screen and press Extras.
8) Click on the package installer (it is in the top left corner and looks like an open box. Check the image)
9) Click on Install from Zip file
10) Press 13Clowns or the name of the source you added earlier.
11) Open the zip file repository.13clowns-x.x.x.zip
x.x.x’ stands for the version number of the zip file. At the time of writing this manual, version 1.0.15a was available.
12) Now wait for the 13Clowns Repo add-on installation notification to appear in the top right corner of the window.
You have successfully installed the correct repository. Now let’s install the addon.
13) In the same window where you clicked Install from Zip earlier, click Install from Repository.
14) Then press 13Clowns Repo
15) Open the video plug-ins
16) Click on the video of 13Clowns
17) Navigate to and click Install in the lower right corner.
18) Wait for the addon installation to complete. You will receive a confirmation in the form of a notification that the 13Clowns video add-on has been installed (it appears in the top right corner of the screen).
That’s it. You have successfully installed the Kodi 13 Clowns addon.
