There have been a few games in the past that were typically considered multiplayer experiences, where players would work together to complete a specific goal. However recently this model has shifted with the rise of single-player gaming titles and free-to-play on mobile devices. Some say these changes are for better and some say they’re not; either way, it’s hard to imagine too many games becoming truly multiplayer again ever
In NBA history, there have been a number of excellent duos. No team has ever gone unbeaten in the Finals like the Chicago Bulls’ Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.
After all of their success with the Bulls, Jordan and Pippen will be eternally intertwined. Jordan believes the NBA will never see another pairing like him and Pippen because the two Hall of Famers developed together and made each other better.
“I don’t believe you’ll ever have two guys like that again,” Michael Jordan said of him and Scottie Pippen.

On the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal won three championships together. They did, however, have a feud and were able to win championships without each other. Jordan and Pippen, on the other hand, never fought on the Bulls and won six rings in eight years. Jordan believes he and Pippen are a one-of-a-kind pair since they didn’t have postseason success without each other.
Jordan told Ahmad Rashad in 2013, “Scottie Pippen pushed me.” “It was a scene of big brother and small brother.” I know how much effort it required to get to that level, and I’m going to have to drag this person along if we want to go from point A to point B to point Z. We’ll have to figure out a way to coexist. We’ll have to figure out a method to push each other. So it was that, me dragging him along to the point where he realized, “OK, if we’re going to play this game, we’re going to have to get like this,” and the next thing you know, it’s a tandem. I don’t believe you’ll ever see two guys like that again, who evolved and got more successful together, and then success began to circle around them.”
Jordan has never advanced beyond the first round of the playoffs before joining the Bulls. Although the Detroit Pistons removed MJ and Pip from the playoffs in 1988, 1989, and 1990, they ultimately beat them in 1991 and never looked back.
Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen were the 1990s’ basketball kings.
In the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals, the Bulls swept the Pistons. Since Detroit transferred the mantle to Chicago, it was a watershed event in the NBA.
The Bulls won championships in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, and 1998 because to Jordan and Pippen. Chicago not only went unbeaten in the Finals, but it also avoided having to play in a Game 7. Because anything may happen in a do-or-die game, Jordan and Pippen made it a point to kill off their opponents before Game 7.
Jordan and Pippen played together in 691 regular-season games. During the Jordan-Pippen era, the Bulls went 514-177 and only lost four postseason series. With Pippen, Jordan averaged 31.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 5.6 assists. Meanwhile, Pippen and Jordan combined for 17.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 5.3 assists.
Jordan and Pippen always spoke highly of one other until ESPN’s The Last Dance docuseries premiered in April 2020. However, the latter was furious with the former over the outcome of the docuseries and has fired multiple bullets at him.
Bulls legends may be unable to speak any longer.

Jordan had heard via the grapevine that Pippen was furious with him because of The Last Dance. The two Bulls icons exchanged a few words before departing. The kettle, on the other hand, was kept boiling by one of them.
Unguarded is a memoir written by Pippen. He takes multiple potshots at Jordan throughout the book. The two most telling lines in The Last Dance were when Pippen declared Jordan “ruined basketball” and was “condescending.” After his father was assassinated in 1993, the Arkansas native said that he never gave Air Jordan condolences. Because of that remark, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, who has a friendship with Jordan, thinks His Airness will never talk to Pippen again.
Jordan and Pippen’s time with the Bulls will go down in history. However, it’s been heartbreaking to see their relationship disintegrate since the release of The Last Dance.
Scottie Pippen believes he was as good as Michael Jordan as a player: ‘I Just Wanted to Let People Know and Clear the Air That I Was As Good As Michael Jordan,’ he said.
