It’s hard to fathom that it was only yesterday that the man who would later be known as Iron Mike won his first pro boxing match. He quickly became a contender in the heavyweight division, albeit a controversial one at that. He was known for his foul-mouthed rants and bad boy persona. Yet, he was also a boxer known for his incredible talent and charisma. In the ring, he was a ferocious competitor, and when he wasn’t in the ring, he was known for being an incredible trash-talker.

Mike Tyson reached his first real low before he was 12

He lived in an area with a high crime rate and was one of the reasons for the spike in crime statistics. I was born 40 times before I was 12. Arrested on his 30th birthday, Tyson said in December during an appearance on the IMPAULSIVE podcast with Logan Paul. My mother was so humble and proud and I was arrogant. Tyson spent most of his early teenage years at the Tryon School for Boys, a juvenile detention facility. There he met Bobby Stewart, a consultant and former boxer. Stewart taught Tyson to box and then introduced him to legendary trainer Cus D’Amato. Tyson’s mother died when he was 16. D’Amato took Tyson under his wing and guided him to a career as a professional boxer. However, his career was cut short by a three-year prison sentence after he was convicted of rape. When he returned to the ring, he was never the same.

There was no father in Tyson’s life, and D’Amato became his legal guardian. He led him to a very successful boxing career, but he also instilled in him the discipline that Tyson brought there. Tyson was furious in the ring. He had a powerful punch and became the most dominant fighter of his time. Tyson won the first 37 fights of his professional career. The first 19 of these fights were won by knockout, and 12 of those knockouts were in the first round. At the age of 20, Tyson became the youngest heavyweight boxing champion in the world. He competed in 56 professional boxing matches. He won 50, 44 by knockout. Tyson is a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame and the World Boxing Hall of Fame.
Tyson sums up his crazy life in one sentence
. In the latest episode of his Hotboxin’ With Mike Tysonpodcast, Tyson talked about his up-and-down life with guest Terrell Owens and co-host Sebastian Joseph-Day. He talked about his difficult upbringing, but also about his success in boxing. Tyson believes it was this difficult childhood that helped him achieve the success he did. No one has ever fallen as low as me, Tyson said. Joseph-Day then added: No one’s ever been as high as you are. Tyson then summed up his vision of life in one sentence. In fact, he emphasized his feelings by saying the same sentence twice. The fall is worth the climb, Tyson said. The fall is worth the damn climb.Mike Tyson was a man with a lot going on in his life.
