You might think you can’t beat a boxer. You might think they are too strong for you. You might think that you’d never be able to get close enough to knock one out. You might think you are a loser. But if you are willing to put in the work, there is a good chance you can beat a boxer. It’s not about how big and strong they are. It’s about how smart you are.

The following story is going to be a little difficult to believe, but it is 100% true. In early February of this year, I was fortunate enough to be invited to participate in a boxing training program with some of the best professional boxers in the world. At the time, I was still in the process of writing my first book, and I was excited to be able to get some advice on my writing from a cut man for a couple of the world’s best boxers.

YouTuber and social media influencer Jake Paul has been making waves since the beginning of his boxing career. Not many people know what to think of him, as he has clearly had success, but has yet to face an opponent of quality, while his brother, Logan Paul, has not had success, but will soon be facing one of the greatest boxers of all time, Floyd Mayweather Jr. Among those who are somewhat disappointed in Jake Paul is ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith. Recently he even called Paul and his opponents the chosen ones.

Jake Paul will meet Tyron Woodley in aprofessional boxing match.

So far in his young boxing career, Jake Paul has proven to the world that he is a solid athlete. However, he has yet to meet an opponent of quality. In his first fight in 2020, he defeated influencer AnEsonGib via technical knockout before knocking out former NBA star Nate Robinson in the same year. In April, he knocked out former UFC fighter Ben Askren. Sure, Askren has had success in the MMA world, but he’s not a fighter, so many have called for Paul to fight someone who can box. But that won’t be the case in his fourth fight, as Paul told ESPN that he will take on former UFC champion Tyron Woodley in August. But like Askren, Woodley could be a strong opponent for Paul. But he still won’t help Paul prove his skeptics wrong, which leads Smith to scold the YouTuber.

Stephen A. Smith called the star of the Internet

Although Paul is not the traditional type of athlete that Smith and his colleagues usually beat, the commentator had strong words for the powerful athlete when he heard of his planned fight against Woodley. I’m not impressed, not at all, Smith said on Channel 1. June in episode of Stephen A’s World. While Logan Paul tackles fights and gets in the ring with boxing legends like Floyd Money Mayweather, at the risk of being defeated forever, Jake Paul takes the opposite approach. Completely the other way. Fights with non-boxers. Smith then talked about Paul’s first three fights and how Askren was a fighter first and foremost. That’s good, that’s good; you need to relax, I understand all of that, but you need to fight a real fighter one day, Jake, Smith said. You have to fight someone with muscle memory in this sport. I don’t care if he’s an amateur, not necessarily a pro, but someone who has the muscle memory for real boxing, not someone like Woodley. … If Jake Paul wants to get the respect he craves in boxing, he will have to fight real opponents. Despite the criticism, Smith admitted that Paul is indeed useful to the sport of boxing. I like the attention he brings to boxing, it’s good and I respect his business acumen, Smith said. …but it’s not really boxing if you’re not fighting a real boxer.

The boxing match between Jake Paul and Tyrone Woodley should be interesting

. We all want Paul to fight a real fighter. Smith has some good points. But this game could get interesting. Woodley was in Askren’s corner when Askren and Paul had their fight earlier this year. Woodley then exchanged a few words with Paul before the fight. I have a list of people I want to take out with my fists, Paul told ESPN. And as I embark on my fourth professional fight, I’m looking forward to crossing the first one off my wish list by challenging a five-time UFC champion known for his punching power. Tyrone is an experienced fighter who has fought the best in the world. I certainly respect his career, but I’ll be watching Tyrone on Aug. 28 on a permanent snooze. Showtime will announce the fight and it will take place on the 28th. August in pay-per-view. Like Sportscasting on Facebook. Follow us on Twitter @sportscasting19 .
